WELCOME TO RUSTY’S GARAGE

This site will track the progress and restoration of my MK2 Jaguar.

This 1965 MK2 Jaguar came into my life in December 2018.

The vehicle has been in dry storage since 1985 that’s 33 years just tucked away waiting to be reborn. The main feature of the vehicle is it doesn’t have any chassis or body rust, unlike most Jaguars and other vehicles of the period. Another point is that it hasn’t been modified and appears to be complete.

It seems the previous owner started to do some work on the interior, most of the woodwork has been removed from the dash, doors and frames. An initial stock take indicates all is there (each piece labelled and placed on the back seat).

This is how I found the MK2.

As an added bonus a full set of spoked wheels and hubs came as a surprise in the boot.

The vehicle also came with the original Jaguar Workshop Manual (Blue Cover) about 2″ thick.

InterEurope Workshop Manual, 125 pages, an abridged version of the above.

Jaguar 2.4 Litre MK2 Operating, Maintenance and Service Handbook,                86 pages.
